I wasn’t sure what to expect when Handsome Hubby excited told me that he wanted to go on Needles Highway.

He warned me that it was twisty turny and so I thought I was going to hate it.

But I didn’t.

In fact, it was really fun.

Along the way, there was a really neat spot where you could get out and climb on the rocks.

This was especially memorable spot for C.J. as he got his foot stuck in a crack trying to climb out the back way.

Thankfully, Handsome hubby was able to shimy back there and get it out of the crack.

This is the eye of the Needle.

I think it’s what Needles Highway is named after.

Or maybe it’s the hair-pin turns.

We thought this was pretty cool, too.  Every tunnel, we would shout, “TUNNEL!!!”  And then “Ooo…” and “Ahh…”

I know, we’re weird.  That’s okay.

By the way, we did actually fit through this tunnel… barely… it’s a one lane tunnel.

These guys were pretty cool to see too.

They were munching along as if they see people in cars stop to take pictures and stare at them all day.

Maybe they do.

There are also several trails to stop at along the way.

Needles Highway was definitely worth the trip.
